Long-time Goodcents franchise owner, Jeff Barclay was recognized at the annual Lincoln Independent Business Association (LIBA) Awards reception on March 9. LIBA and Nebraska Govenor Pete Ricketts presented Barclay with the 2017 Enterprising Gambler Award recognizing him for his entrepreneurial drive to help build and improve the community.

“The restaurant business can be risky, but Jeff has demonstrated that it’s worth taking the risks when you’re passionate about great people and great food,” a LIBA representative said.

Barclay and his partner Scott Ritter also received the Nebraska Restaurateur of the Year Award in 2016 from the Nebraska Restaurant Association.

Barclay and Ritter opened their first Goodcents location in 1999 and currently own three locations around the Lincoln, Neb. area, with additional locations planned to open in 2017. Click here to learn more about their story.
